* Do you or have you ever read books about the Olympics? About sports in general?
Um, no. I don't think I have.
* Fictional ones? Or non-fiction? Or both?
Neither, but I'd be more likely to read a non-fiction title.
And, Second:
* Do you consider yourself a sports fan?
No, not at all. I liked playing soccer in junior high but that's as far as my interests in sports ever went.
* Because, of course, if you’re a rabid fan and read about sports constantly, there’s a logic there; if you hate sports and never read anything sports-related, that, too … but you don’t have to love sports to enjoy a good sports story.
True, I shouldn't have to love sports to enjoy a good sports story but there are so many other things on my "Need to Read" list that sports stories are simply not a priority.
* (Or a good sports movie, for that matter. Feel free to expand this into a discussion about “Friday Night Lights” or “The Natural” or whatever…)
I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do, they generally fall into the action/sci-fi/fantasy genres. Sports flicks aren't my thing.
